I fell in love with numbers at 18 and never looked back. To me, accounting is a puzzle: there are a lot of moving pieces and complexities, and the work is solving them until the picture is complete and the financials are true.
That's the part I enjoy most, and it's why messy books don't scare me. I've spent more than 30 years working under CPAs and inside corporate accounting departments handling multi-entity and multi-location companies.
